WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND (ANNUAL DAY)

Father Agnel School, Noida celebrated its Annual Day 2025, with great enthusiasm and cultural splendour, marking a significant milestone as the institution steps into its Silver Jubilee year. The  programme was held in the school auditorium in the presence of eminent guests, parents, teachers and students, reflecting the school’s ethos of holistic education and creative excellence .

The programme commenced with a  solemn prayer, led by the Director, Rev.Fr. J.A.Carvalho, invoking divine blessings for the institution and its community. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising the triumph of knowledge over ignorance .

A Saraswati Vandana was presented by the Hindi choir, invoking the goddess of wisdom and the arts. This was followed by the School Dedication Song , which resonated deeply with the audience as it reaffirmed the school’s commitment to values such as compassion, equality and service .

The highlight of the formal segment was the Director’s Address, wherein Rev. Fr. Carvalho reflected on the school’s journey, growth and vision for the future. His words inspired students to strive for excellence while remaining grounded in humanity and ethical responsibility .

The cultural segment opened with a graceful Kathak Welcome Dance (Tarana) showcasing rhythm, precision and classical elegance. This was followed by the much-awaited theatrical performance ‘Whistle Down the Wind’, an adaptation of Mary Hayley Bell’s timeless story. The play beautifully portrayed themes of innocence, faith and hope, leaving a lasting impression on the audience with its powerful message and artistic execution .

The evening was further enriched by the presence of the Chief Guest, His Lordship Virek Aggarwal, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Noida. In his address, he shared valuable insights drawn from his judicial experience, encouraging students to uphold justice, integrity and critical thinking in an ever-evolving world 

The programme concluded with a Curtain Call followed by a heartfelt Vote of Thanks expressing gratitude to the management, guests, parents, teachers, students and all those who contributed to the success of the event. The celebration ended on a harmonious note with the School Hymn, reinforcing a strong sense of unity and pride among all present .

The Annual Day Celebration 2025 was a resounding success, beautifully blending tradition, creativity and reflection, and standing as a true testament to Father Agnel School’s legacy of excellence and transformative education.
