FRANCE-INDIA EXCHANGE

17 / Nov

Our school recently hosted a group of French delegates as part of the India France student exchange. Everyone was excited to welcome our French friends and their Indian correspondents.

The event began with a warm welcome ceremony in the school auditorium. The delegates were greeted with traditional Indian garlands and tilak, followed by a short cultural performance showcasing Indian classical dance and music. Their excitement hadn’t faded yet as the next day all the students of the exchange visited Delhi to visit the popular places such as Qutub minar , Bangla Sahib, Delhi haat and Akshardham. They were mesmerised to see the capital of India, a city that beautifully blends history and modernity.

The following day the students had their yoga class during which they were taught simple asanas and breathing techniques. Later the same day our school held a special pottery class for the delegates in which they learned about the history of pottery following it they were given the opportunity to showcase their creativity. The next day they had their English class after which they had their cooking classes which they thoroughly enjoyed. The atmosphere was still buzzing with excitement as the weekend had arrived during which all the students took their correspondents to the land of kings Rajasthan. They learned about the history, the culture and the landscape of the state.

Everyone looked forward to what the new week had in store. The week started with lessons of classical music followed by a debate held in the auditorium. The auditorium buzzed with excitement as participants passionately defended their viewpoints. The next day dawned bright and beautiful as the students set off for Agra, eager to witness the majestic Taj Mahal along with Fatehpur Sikri . The trip was truly memorable. The following day the students had an adventurous day at delta 105, a military camp in Manesar.

Everyone arrived at the school the next morning. The day started with dance lessons later the same day the French delegates performed for the students of Father Agnel showcasing the history and culture of France. The following day was an intriguing day as it was the day the students held the science fair in which the students were divided in groups and all the groups made a project based on the topic assigned to them. The theme of the fair was an eco friendly society, the students held an outstanding presentation which had a great turn out.

Then arrived the day of the farewell. Both the Indian and French students had prepared a programme for the farewell which they performed in the school auditorium during the evening followed by a spectacular dinner in the school. Then came the time for the heart wrenching goodbye. All the students bid goodbye to the France delegates with tears in their eyes and a heart filled with way too many memories and experiences.
