Primary School Sports Day 2025: A Celebration of Strength, Spirit, and Sportsmanship

The Primary School’s Annual Sports Day 2025 was a vibrant and meaningful celebration, marking 25 years of the school’s remarkable journey. Over these years, the institution has grown into a space that shapes young minds, nurtures dreams and inspires every learner who walks through its corridors. This legacy — built on care, consistency and community — gave this year’s Sports Day a deeper sense of pride and purpose.

The morning began with the welcome, followed by the presentation of saplings, symbolising growth and responsibility. After a thoughtful prayer, students marched confidently in the march past, leading to the lighting of the torch and oath-taking, which officially opened the meet.

The day was filled with high-energy events including Flat Races for all three classes, Recreational Races such as Cone Trail, Loop the Hoop, Hoop Challenge and Cone Quest, as well as the 200 m Race and 4×100 m Relay for Class III. The Drill Display by Classes I & II showcased coordination and teamwork, while the Karate Drills displayed discipline and strength. Winners were felicitated during the Prize Distribution ceremonies, appreciating both achievement and participation. The atmosphere was filled with pride as students received medals and certificates.

One of the most memorable moments of the programme was the Grand Finale, designed around the theme of VIBGYOR — the rainbow of peace and hope. The formation reflected the belief that after every storm there is colour, after every challenge comes light, and in every child lies endless possibility. The seven colours came together to symbolise the school’s philosophy — unity, hope and collective brilliance — reinforcing the message that together, we shine brighter.

The event concluded with the Director Father J.A. Carvalho’s address, the Vote of Thanks by the Head Mistress Ma’am and the School Hymn, wrapping up a day that celebrated not only athletic excellence but also a quarter-century of shared dreams and achievements.

Sports Day 2025 stood as a joyful reminder that every child can achieve greatness through effort, courage, and sportsmanship.
